Make analytical discovery inspectable
Nemosyne should help a person reach meaningful findings, understand why a representation was chosen, challenge the evidence, and reproduce the investigation later.
The promise
Conventional analytical tools often separate computation, visual explanation, interaction history, and collaboration. Nemosyne treats them as one investigation record. Spatial computing is a modality for reasoning—not a claim that three dimensions are automatically better.
Principles
- Analytical facts are evidence-backed and owned by one Rust/WASM authority.
- Representation choices are bounded, explainable, and allowed to abstain.
- Desktop and WebXR share semantics while remaining honest about modality differences.
- Discoveries preserve provenance, uncertainty, and investigator decisions.
- Sessions are portable, versioned, integrity-checked, and replayable.
- Learning remains opt-in, pinned, reversible, and subordinate to hard constraints.
What success means
Success is not the number of scenes, gestures, or algorithms. It is whether people can form better-supported hypotheses, detect mistakes, communicate findings, and reproduce the route from source data to conclusion without the system overstating certainty.
Current boundary
The project is alpha research software. Major foundations are implemented, but physical Quest qualification, real-browser journey evidence, resilience, accessibility, and scientific outcome validation remain active gates.
